Snow White Among the Red Heads

On this ranch, the two main breeds of cattle are Angus (which are black) and Red Herefords (which are red.) The Red Herefords were bred with artificial insemination and were expected to pop out red….. well weren’t we all surprised when instead of red, this baby calf popped out white! 😱 We still aren’t quite sure what happened but it gives us all something to laugh about. It just goes to show you, that even if you plan things down to a T, surprises are still in the works. I have also discovered that he is more camera shy then all the other red-headed calves. But it makes sense, who wants paparazzi’s hanging around??
